The experience of Juan Pedro van Hasselt in the field of intellectual property started when he was Senior Counsel for The Procter & Gamble Company, where he managed around +9,000 trademarks throughout Latin America.
He served as Justice of the Tribunal of the Patent and Trademark Office (INDECOPI), deciding on cases of competition, consumer protection and patents and trademarks. Some of the decisions he issued as Justice remain as jurisprudence until today.
Currently he is a member of the Advisory Council of INDECOPI

Besides trademark registrations, as examples of enforcement of the intellectual property rights of his clients, he made the Fiscal Police raid in Tacna all the counterfeits that were available in the market. His statements in this hyperlink.
Similarly, after months of investigation, he raided an internet seller of counterfeit clothes. His interview appeared at Noticias ATV, since the news about the raid had a national impact.
We have discovered counterfeit activity moving illegal merchandise mainly from Peru to Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina and Chile.
